Solid vinyl tiles are available from a variety of manufacturers and are suitable for both domestic and commercial uses. Quality ranges are suitable for heavy trafficked areas like shopping centres. In the home these products are very popular for bathrooms and kitchens and increasingly popular for Lounges, Dining Rooms and Hallways.
With vinyl tiles you can personalise your floor by inserting borders and features and laying the planks or tiles in different directions. You can also mix wood, stone and ceramic designs on the same floor, providing the thickness of the product is the same. With vinyl tiles you will find that the floor does not feel cold in the morning and sound levels with hard soled shoes is much less than with solid wood, laminates or ceramic tiles

Cushioned vinyl comes in sheet form, in fixed designs made to resemble wood, stone and ceramics. The product is easy to keep clean and is comfortable underfoot. It comes in various thicknesses but when choosing you should go for one with a thick top wear layer as opposed to one with a thick chusioned layer. It is the ‘wear layer’ that will dictate the life span of your flooring.
Solid vinyl sheet flooring can have a very similar appearance to lino and is used extensively in commercial enviroments, especially safety flooring. It comes in some great colours and can also have special designs aquajet cut into them. If hygeine is important it can also be sealed to the skirting and walls.
