This is a photo layout to show some of the steps involved in laying solid vinyl flooring.

SUB FLOOR PREPARATION

The process you see below covers laying of Karndean ,Camaro ,Expona and Colonia on concrete and wood sub floors .

CONCRETE FLOORS we apply a fine latex screed to give the floor surface a smooth finish, however this will not totally level the floor. Uneven floors are highlighted in rooms with large amounts of light coming in from windows and doors.

WOOD FLOORS

 we pin plywood to the floor and then fill the joints with a fine finishing compound .

Final Preparation

After the appropriate drying time the screed is sanded (can be dusty). The floor is now ready for the adhesive to be troweled out and the individual tiles laid.

LAYING THE FLOOR

The tiles can be laid in multiple directions with or without borders. You can add feature and design strips to create your own custom designs. There are also some special centre features available ie dolphins
